    5.2.1.11 Pressure relief devices and flame arrestors on pipework<\/h1>\n
    \n

    For equipment designed for situations in which flash-backs can occur, flame arrestors1)<\/sup><\/span> and\/or pressure relief devices shall be fitted.<\/p>\n

    Pressure relief devices shall be designed to yield at a pressure below the design pressure of the pipework and shall be positioned such that the discharge flow and the pressure relief device does not constitute a risk to the equipment, personnel or third parties.<\/p>\n

    A flash-back at least shall trigger an alarm. The required measures after a flash-back shall be described in the instruction for use.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
