KST – KROMSCHRÖDER SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY
Tightness control
The valve proving system or tightness control checks the automatic shut-off valves for leaks during the start-up process or after the system/burner group/burner has been switched off. If a leak from the shut-off valves is identified, a fault lock-out of the system/burner group/burner is performed.
A valve proving system or tightness control which complies with EN 746-2:2010 subclause 5.2.2.3.4 is required if the automatic shut-off valves control capacities of over 1200 kW.
The tightness control can be used centrally for the system, per burner group (zone by zone) or per burner.
Protective system
The function must comply with the requirements of the protective system to EN 746-2:2010 subclauses 5.7.2 and 5.7.3.
If failures or disturbances in the protective system can cause a hazardous situation or damage to the machine or product, suitable measures shall be taken to reduce the probability of occurrence of such failures or disturbances. The necessary measures and the extent to which they are implemented – either individually or in combination – depend on the level of risk associated with the application in question.
